8PM Raleigh's Village Idiots invites you to join us for our 96th improv comedy revue, An Ax To Grind, on Saturday, July 17 at 8PM. Admission is just $8 for general admission; house opens at 7:45PM. Nietzsche on Truth in Comedy At the beginning of every show, we ask that your suggestions be honest because we believe truth is funnier than fiction. Well, Fredrich Nietzsche agrees with us. We had a seance the other day and he showed up to say, "And we should call every truth false which was not accompanied by at least one laugh." So come join us for truth and laughs! Our Show At A Glance The Idiots will combine short- and long-form improv comedy in a one-act show suitable for most audiences. The show is about 90 minutes, but after it ends, we've got something else planned. Watch us Experiment After the show, we'll spend another 15-20 minutes creating additional comedy. We'll play with a long form which takes us new places; however, now the filters are off and our material may not be suitable for all audiences. This free bonus-set may contain language and topics that people of good taste find offensive and that Idiots find liberating. |
